14. De Nieuwe Hofmolen in Warmond

Hier aan SZ ligt de Hofpolder met daarin de Nieuwe Hofmolen. De naam van de molen doet al vermoeden dat hier ooit een andere molen heeft gestaan. En dat klopt. De vorige molen werd in de hongerwinter van 1944-1945 in één nacht gesloopt voor brandhout. De daders werden gepakt en het hout verdween in de kachels van de gaarkeuken. De Nieuwe Hofmolen kan nog altijd dienstdoen. Bijvoorbeeld bij extreme wateroverlast of als het gemaal niet functioneert. De molen heeft een opvoerhoogte van 140 centimeter. De Hofpolder die hij bemaalt beslaat 28 hectare.
