4. Gemaal Zaanse Rietveld

Aan de rechterkant zien we gemaal Het Zaanse Rietveld, gebouwd in 2006. In het gemaal staan 2 pompen met een capaciteit van 100m3/min. Het gemaal Zaanse Rietveld bemaalt een divers poldergebied: er is natuur, boomteelt en een deel is nog gewoon landbouwpolder. De polder is ontstaan door meerdere polders samen te voegen, door ruilverkaveling, uitbreiding van de stad Alphen a/d Rijn en bijvoorbeeld de aanleg van de N11.
