4. Gemaal Lijnden

Aan BZ staat het prachtige gemaal Lijnden Samen met het Cruquiusgemaal in Cruquius en Gemaal de Leeghwater in Buitenkaag pompte gemaal Lijnden tussen 1849 en 1852 het volledige Haarlemermeer droogt. Tegenwoordig zit in het oude gemaal een restaurant. Het naastgelegen nieuwe gemaal heeft een vermogen van 1275 m3 per minuut. Samen met gemaal Koning Willem I (Vijfhuizen) en gemaal De Leeghwater (Buitenkaag) houdt gemaal Lijnden het waterpeil van de Haarlemmermeer op orde.
